Following on from the success of our first series of revision webinars in April-May 2018, Candle Conferences is running a range of revision events to support students in preparing for the new specification Religious Studies A Level examinations in Spring 2019. NB: These revision events are in no way replacements for our regular Year 12 and Year 13 events, which aim to extend and enrich learning, but have been carefully designed to support revision.
As well as our live revision events in Manchester, London and online, we will offer revision webinars on four dates running up to the examinations, which may be attended live (giving students the opportunity to ask questions and participate in activities alongside others) or downloaded and played on-demand after the broadcast time. Each webinar will focus on reviewing the content of key topics and on planning possible longer AO2 essays related to it.
To participate in these events, you need only a regular internet-enabled computer or device with a camera and microphone. You will need a separate logon link for each event which can be purchased online using a credit card. Each link can be used by one computer or device, but there are no restrictions on how many people can be viewing that computer or device, so one link could be used by an individual or a full Year 13 class sitting in front of a projector and whiteboard – it is up to you. Obviously, where a class is using a single link, only one person can interact with the presenter, so there will need to be a teacher or lead-student to take charge of this and marshal questions and/or answers.
Links cost £30 each or you can buy all four as a bundle for £100 before 5th April 2019.
Schools (or individual students) who have participated in the live revision events can participate in these webinars without charge. Just e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org at or after the time of booking, but before the 5th April 2019, to be added to the guest-list and receive your link(s).
