11 Sep Paid Internships Available…
We are looking for two keen gap-year students or similar to do 3 week paid internships with us from 6th-28th November 2014.
For good interns, there will be the possibility of future placements and/or part-time work as well as useful experience, guidance and references.
Our internships involve lots of different experiences, including helping with all aspects of “front of house” for conferences around the country and a range of office/admin work “behind the scenes”. Ideal if you are considering careers related to teaching, events management or the charity sector – or for those keen on Philosophy and/or Religious Studies more generally.
To apply, e-mail us a brief CV and covering letter before 25th September 2014.
You must be 18 or over (and usually under 21) at the commencement of your internship, available and able to travel to conference venues on public transport and stay away from home in hotels.
We pay at least £550 to each intern, plus all travelling expenses, and we provide lunch each working day and a small allowance for breakfast and dinner when you are away from home. Working hours are usually 8.30am to 3.30pm, with up to an hour of (unpaid) breaks if you want to take them, at times negotiated with us.
We are looking for interns who are
- reliable time-keepers and responsible workers
- presentable and able to work well with people
- enthusiastic and willing to “have a go” at all sorts of different work
- basically computer-literate and quick to learn
- able to take the initiative and think of solutions
We are not concerned about specific qualifications, but an interest in Philosophy and/or Religious Studies would be a definite advantage.
